OUR PROGRAMS
Our programs are designed to strengthen economic resilience and leadership among women rebuilding their lives in fragile and post-conflict contexts. Through integrated training, agribusiness support, and leadership development, we provide practical pathways to sustainable income and long-term stability.
SKILLS LAB

Our Skills Lab delivers practical, market-responsive livelihood skills training designed to create sustainable income opportunities for women within their communities. Prior to each training cycle, we assess local market demand to identify viable micro-enterprises with strong potential for growth and sustainability.
Based on these findings, women receive hands-on training in income-generating activities such as liquid soap production, mosquito repellent making, arts and crafts, and other context-appropriate small-scale enterprises. The training is production-focused and highly practical, ensuring participants develop the technical competence to produce quality goods that meet local market needs.
We recognise that training alone is not sufficient. Through our Startup & Venture Support component, women receive start-up capital, essential materials, access to small-scale production machinery, such as liquid soap mixing equipment to strengthen efficiency, quality control, and output capacity.
Our support extends beyond the initial launch phase, ensuring women are not left to navigate challenges alone. This end-to-end approach strengthens business survival, promotes steady growth, and enhances long-term sustainability.
AGRIBUSINESS INITIATIVE
Our Agribusiness Initiative strengthens economic resilience and food security through collective farming and sustainable agricultural production. In fragile and post-conflict contexts, access to land and stable income opportunities is often limited, making agriculture a practical and accessible pathway to recovery.
Each planting season, SWAGWOR secures land and prepares it using mechanised support to ensure efficient cultivation. Women actively participate in planting, crop maintenance, and harvesting, gaining hands-on agricultural experience while generating income.
To enhance value addition and improve market potential, the initiative is supported by essential agricultural machinery, including a grinding mill. This enables women to process produce locally, reduce post-harvest losses, and increase the value of goods sold in the market.
Harvested produce is distributed to participating women for household consumption and market sales, strengthening both food security and income generation. Through this initiative, women build practical agricultural skills, increase their earning capacity, and work collectively toward long-term economic stability.

LEADERSHIP ACADEMY

Our Leadership Academy strengthens women’s confidence, agency, and capacity to lead within their households and communities. In fragile and post-conflict contexts, women often carry the responsibility of rebuilding families while remaining excluded from decision-making spaces.
Through structured leadership sessions, women develop skills in communication, problem-solving, advocacy, and collective action. The programme fosters self-confidence, peer support, and awareness of rights, enabling participants to engage more actively in community processes and economic decision-making.
By strengthening leadership alongside economic empowerment, we ensure that income generation translates into voice, influence, and long-term social transformation.
